Report:

Description of Animal Dog – Terrier Mix named “Terrie”

Description of the Incident Dog was observed alive when loaded onto flight # DL1100 in BWI and was reported deceased upon arrival in ATL.

Cause of the Incident This 11 year old dog died due to a pre-existing condition. Results from a necropsy reported a tumor on the spleen was a hemangiosarcoma that had metastisized to the lungs.

Corrective Action Taken None. Delta policy was followed.
