Narrative Description of Incident
Dog was found deceased off AA Flight #545 (ORD-LAX).
Narrative Description of Cause of the Incident
Necropsy report revealed a pre-existing heart condition. Verified oxygen and temperature controls were working properly in the aircraft cargo compartment.
The ground temperature ranged from 54F to 64F and was not a contributing factor.
