May 2009 Airline Pet Travel Report
The May, 2009 Airline Pet Travel Report contains pet incidents for the month of March, 2009.
Alaska Airlines reports the injury of a 7 year-old Australian Shepherd who arrived in Seattle, WA with an injured front paw from apparently trying to get out of the kennel.
American Airlines reports the death of a Pug upon arrival at Dallas / Fort Worth Airport in Texas from Santiago, Chile. The necropsy identified a pre-existing heart disease that they suggested was the cause of death. This is another example of a short-nosed dog dieing of “pre-existing” conditions.
| Airline | Losses | Injuries | Deaths |
