Description of animal (including name): A dog (Unknown: Name, breed, sex, or age)
Narrative description of incident: Upon loading one of the passenger’s dogs into the cargo hold, Seattle ramp personnel found one of her two dogs was bleeding from its mouth and paws. It was apparent that the injury sustained was from the dog chewing on the kennel. The passenger was advised of the situation and her dog was returned to her custody. She called her veterinarian, who came to the airport to administer a sedative to her dog. The local Seattle staff assisted the passenger in re-booking her and her two dogs on the next flight to San Diego.
Narrative description of the cause of the incident: A dog departing Seattle, WA chewed on its kennel and sustained mouth and paw injuries. The passenger was advised of the situation, the dog was cleaned and given a sedative and later continued onto San Diego.
