Incident 2 Carrier: Alaska Airlines Flight: 789 (New Orleans, LA to Seattle, WA) Date of incident: Monday, July 14, 2014 Time of incident: Approximately 8:50 PM PT Description of animal (including name): A 2 year-old, male, English bulldog, named Chubs. Narrative description of incident: Upon arrival in Seattle, WA our ramp agents noticed that one of two bulldogs traveling as companions, was not moving and appeared to be lifeless. The owner of the bulldogs was met at baggage claim and was told that Chubs had passed away inflight. The owner took the bulldog home, for final disposition. Narrative description of the cause of the incident: One of two bulldogs traveling as companions, passed away during the flight. There is no evidence to suggest that the airline’s handling contributed to the animal’s death. Narrative description of any corrective action taken in response to the incident:
