Incident 4 Carrier: Alaska Airlines Flight: 698 (Seattle, WA to Spokane, WA) Date of incident: Saturday, July 26, 2014 Time of incident: Approximately 11:54 PM PT Description of animal (including name): A 17-year-old female cat, named Woogie, unknown breed. Narrative description of incident: Upon arrival in Spokane, WA ramp agents noticed that Woogie, a 17 year-old cat, was not moving and appeared to be lifeless. The owner was located in the baggage claim area and told that Woogie passed away sometime during the flight, and took Woogie home with her. Narrative description of the cause of the incident: A 17 year-old cat passed away during the flight. There is no evidence to suggest that the airline’s handling contributed to the animal’s death.
