Description of Incident: Cat transported from San Diego to Honolulu via Cargo. Upon arrival in Honolulu, cat taken to Airport Animal Quarantine where owner Andreia met and picked up. Owner claims Ocean’s left eye was injured due to trauma as it was red. Owner also traveled with another cat, Latte, claiming an injury.
Cause of Incident: No irregularities reported about condition of cat or kennel at both departure at San Diego and arrival in Honolulu. Cause is unknown.
Corrective Action Taken: No corrective action, but HA may consider refunding the cost of the cat’s transportation $250 as a courtesy.
