Narrative of Incident
Meli was found unresponsive before loading and was pronounced deceased by the vet.
Two Golden Retrievers traveling HNL–SEA–CHS were kenneled overnight in SEA. No issues during the acceptance process, and both dogs appeared normal. Both dogs appeared normal before transport to the ramp. Before loading at the gate, the ramp discovered that the three-year-old retriever Meli was unresponsive. Meli was brought to the vet, where she was found deceased.
