Northwest Airlines reports the loss of a cat, that was fond the next day. "Katya" was one of 4 cats checked from Seattle, WA to Chicago, IL, through Minneapolis, MN. Upon landing in Minneapolis, one of the kennels was discovered to be empty. The cat was returned to the owner with a chipped tooth and grease on its back.

A 2 year-old Great Pyrenees was found deceased upon arrival in Raleigh Durham, NC. on Continental flight #250 originating in Houston, TX. The necropsy indicated a pre-existing health condition and another dog traveling with the owner arrived safe.

A 10 year-old pug was found deceased upon arrival in Portland, OR on Continental Flight #1622 also originating in Houston, TX. The necropsy stated that the dog likely dies of "respiratory insufficiency, which is an inherent problem for brachiocephalic dogs."
