Pet incidents for the month of March, 2010.
Delta reports the injury of a cat during a flight from Atlanta, GA to Portland, OR. The cat injured its mouth during the flight, but was also suffering from cold. The cat was incorrectly loaded into an area of the aircraft hold that was not the correct temperature for pets. The owner took the cat to a veterinary hospital and the vet indicated that the cat did not suffer any long term effects.
Delta conducted an investigation into the incident and notification was given the the Station Manager and Director at Atlanta to follow up the those involved with the incorrect loading.
