Post-Security (Airside)

Concourse E

Located near Gate E36. This service animal relief station is accessible after passing through security and is clearly marked on airport signage.

Concourse D/E Corner

Situated across from Checkpoint 3 at the corner where Concourses D and E meet. Convenient for travelers transitioning between these concourses.

D/E Connector

Located near the exit in the connector area between Concourses D and E. This pet relief area provides easy access for passengers on either concourse.

Concourse A Connector (Temporarily Closed)

The relief area between Gates A1-A13 and A21-A29 is currently unavailable. Travelers should use alternative locations listed above.

Pre-Security (Landside)

Baggage Claim Level

Charlotte Douglas offers multiple outdoor pet bathroom locations at the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level:

  • Curbside: Accessible directly outside the baggage claim area
  • Near Carousel 3: Convenient for travelers picking up luggage
  • Near Carousel 7: Additional option on the opposite end of baggage claim

These pre-security dog relief areas are located outside the terminal building.

Amenities & Rules

  • Map Access: All service animal relief areas are labeled on the CLT Interactive Map for easy navigation
  • Pet Carrier Policy: Except for service animals, pets must remain in carriers while in the terminal
  • Re-entry: If using pre-security outdoor areas, passengers will need to go through security screening again to return to gates
  • Terminal Layout: CLT features one terminal with five concourses (A-E) all under one roof—no trams or shuttles needed between gates
