Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) has service animal relief areas at both the South Terminal and the North Terminal. Each terminal has indoor spots behind security and outdoor spots outside the terminal.

Post-Security (Airside)

South Terminal

• Location: In the B Gates, just before Gate B1.
• Type: Indoor pet relief station on the secure side.
• Etiquette: The airport asks travelers to be considerate and clean up after their animals.

North Terminal

• Location: Behind security, by Gate N8.
• Type: Indoor dog bathroom area on the secure side.

Pre-Security (Landside)

South Terminal

• Outside Baggage Claim 1 (Lower Level): There are two pet relief areas here:
  • One outside Door 1 on the lower level, in the courtyard area.
  • One on the commercial curb.
• Outside Baggage Claim 8: One more animal relief area on the commercial curb.

North Terminal

• Location: Outside, across from Door 4.
• Type: Outdoor relief area.

Tip: The airport FAQ says pet relief areas at both terminals are next to the baggage claim doors. Connecting passengers who use a landside area will have to go through TSA security again, so leave extra time.

Amenities & Rules

• Leash/Kennel Rule: Keep all pets in a kennel or on a leash while inside the ANC terminal.
• Clean-Up: Travelers are asked to be considerate and clean up after their animals.
• Pet Pick-Up: If your pet flew on the same flight as you, pick it up at baggage claim in the oversize-luggage area. For pets shipped separately, contact your airline for pick-up instructions.
