Pre-Security Location

The pet relief area at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) is located on the lower level of the terminal. To access it, exit through Door 4L and turn right. The area is a grass patch facing the FAA control tower. This outdoor facility is equipped with pet waste disposal containers for convenience.

Accessibility and Guidelines

Airport officials encourage pets in service to wear proper identification, and owners should have paperwork easily accessible. All other pets should be crated during their visit to BHM.
