Concourse A

The Service Animal Relief Area (SARA) is in Concourse A, next to Gate 1. This pet relief station is a private room with self-draining turf. It is open to service animals and to pets traveling with their owners.

• Note: The airport's FAQ page says there is no pet relief area past the security checkpoint. The airport's Accessibility page lists the Gate 1 SARA, so the FAQ may be out of date. If you are relying on the airside option, confirm with airport staff at 406-728-4381.

Pre-Security (Landside)

Grassy Area, Northwest of the Terminal

You can take service animals to the grassy area northwest of the terminal before you check in. Plastic bag dispensers are provided at this outdoor dog bathroom spot.

Outside Baggage Claim

A Service Animal Relief Area is located in front of the main terminal, just outside Baggage Claim. A sign marks the area, and it has a pet waste bag dispenser and a waste receptacle.

Amenities & Rules

• Supplies: Plastic waste bag dispensers are available at the outdoor relief areas. A waste receptacle is available at the area outside Baggage Claim.
• Surface: The airside SARA at Gate 1 has self-draining turf. The landside areas are grassy outdoor spaces.
• Pets in the Terminal: Dogs and cats may not walk around the terminal freely. Service animals and emotional support animals are the only exception.
• Containment: If you are traveling with a pet, keep it in a kennel or on a leash.
• Etiquette: Please clean up after your animal.
• Hours: The terminal is open 24 hours a day.
• Assistance: Contact the airport's Administrative Staff at 406-728-4381 for help, including the Airport Ambassador Program during peak travel periods.
