Post-Security (Airside)

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport provides indoor pet relief areas in each terminal after security screening. These designated service animal areas allow you to relieve your pet without exiting the secure area or going through TSA again.

Terminal A

Located near Gate A29. This pet relief station is accessible post-security for passengers with connecting flights or layovers.

Terminal B

Located near Gate B28. Conveniently positioned for travelers flying through Terminal B.

Terminal D

Located near Gate D18. This dog bathroom is available airside for passengers in the D terminal.

Terminal E

Located near Gate E31. Easy access for travelers with pets departing from or connecting through Terminal E gates.


Pre-Security (Landside)

For passengers who haven't cleared security yet or are picking up arriving pets, DFW Airport offers outdoor pet relief areas on the lower level outside terminal entry doors. Note that you'll need your boarding pass and ID to re-enter the terminal through security.

Terminal A

Located outside Door A8 on the lower level. This outdoor service animal area is accessible before security screening.

Terminal C

Temporary Location: Due to construction, the pet relief area is currently located in the parking garage near C17. Check airport signage for the most current location.

Terminal D

Two locations available: * Outside Door D15 (Lower Level) * Outside Door D29 (Lower Level)

Terminal E

Two locations available: * Outside Door E2 (Lower Level) * Outside Door E38 (Lower Level)


Important Rules & Requirements

  • Leash Required: All pets and service animals must remain on a leash at all times when visiting DFW Airport.
  • Ticketed Passengers Only: Only pets accompanying a ticketed passenger can use the designated pet relief stations.
  • Pet Carriers: Travelers must have appropriate pet carriers on hand when traveling with pets.
  • Law Enforcement Canines: Contact between your pet and law enforcement canines is strictly prohibited. Petting of working K9s is not allowed.
  • Re-Entry: When using landside (pre-security) outdoor areas, you'll need to re-enter through TSA security screening with valid boarding pass and ID.

For overnight stays or extended layovers, Wag Hotels is a premier pet resort for cats and dogs located near DFW Airport outside the security area. The facility is staffed 24 hours for drop-off and pickup, with lobby hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for walk-ins and tours.
