All Terminals

JFK Airport provides Service Animal Relief Areas (SARAs) in all terminals for both service animals and pets traveling through the airport. These dedicated pet relief stations are designed with traveler convenience in mind.

Terminal 4

Multiple pet bathroom locations are available throughout this large terminal. Use the interactive terminal map to find the nearest service animal area to your gate, or ask an Airport Customer Experience Specialist (ACES) wearing a red uniform for directions.

Terminal 1

Service animal relief areas are conveniently located throughout the terminal. Specific locations can be found using the interactive map or by consulting terminal staff.

Pre-Security (Landside)

Pet relief facilities are available in all terminals before security screening. Use the airport's interactive map system to locate the nearest dog bathroom or pet relief station in your arrival terminal.

Amenities & Rules

  • Supplies Provided: All relief areas include waste bags, trash receptacles, and cleaning stations
  • Cleanliness: Handlers must clean up after their pets using provided supplies
  • Accidents: If accidents occur outside designated areas, please clean up and notify airport cleaning staff
  • Pet Requirements: Pets traveling through terminals should remain in carriers when not in relief areas
  • Service Animals: May remain outside carriers but must stay with handlers at all times
  • Airline Notification: Contact your airline in advance about traveling with pets or service animals for cabin access requirements and documentation
