Quick Location Summary

Pre-Security (Landside)

Location 1: Lower Level – Door #19

Located on the lower level outside Door #19, near the international terminal and adjacent to the Light Rail station (prior to Concourse E). This is an outdoor pet relief area easily accessible for arriving passengers or those not yet through security.

Location 2: Hourly Garage – Level 3

This pet relief station is situated in front of the Hourly Garage on Level 3. Look for a concrete wall opening with a red awning overhead; a paver pathway leads directly to the relief area. Access from three points:

  • From Concourse B: Take the B skywalk to the Hourly Garage, use Tower B elevator to Level 3, follow the white lined path to the right.
  • From Concourse D: Take the D skywalk to the Hourly Garage, use Tower D elevator to Level 3, follow the white lined path to the left.
  • From Concourse C: Take the center elevator down to Tunnel level (marked "T"), follow the tunnel to the Hourly Garage, use Tower C elevator up to Level 3, follow the white lined path to the right.

Post-Security (Airside)

Concourse C

Located near the end of the B/C Connector, between Security Checkpoint C and the exit to Concourse C. This indoor service animal area is convenient for passengers departing from gates in Concourses B or C.

D/E Connector

Located in the connector between Concourses D and E, just beyond the Concourse D/E Security Checkpoint. After clearing security, proceed to the right towards Concourse D boarding gates to find this dog bathroom.

Amenities & Rules

  • Supplies: Waste disposal bags and trash receptacles are provided at all four locations.
  • Seating: Available in all pet relief areas for owner convenience.
  • Leash Requirement: Animals must remain on leashes when outside of carriers while using any relief area.
  • Cleanup: Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets using provided supplies.

Additional Information

BWI Marshall Airport welcomes trained service animals throughout the terminal at all times. Non-service animals must be transported in a carrier while inside the main terminal building per Maryland state law. For airline-specific pet travel policies, contact your carrier directly.
