Post-Security (Airside)

Main Terminal

Located near the security screening checkpoint, adjacent to the food court area. This is an indoor pet relief station featuring:

• Artificial turf with drainage system below
• Hose for washing away liquid waste
• Sink for hand washing
• Free waste bags and disposal containers

This facility opened in September 2021 and eliminates the need for passengers to exit the secure area and re-clear security. The service animal relief area is conveniently positioned near tables that provide a quieter space in the terminal.

Pre-Security (Landside)

Terminal Exterior - First Floor

Located outside the terminal on the first floor, across the road from the passenger pick-up area. Access via the east crosswalk.

• Leash Requirement: All animals must remain in their carrier or on a leash at all times when not in the relief area
• Supplies: Both locations provide complimentary waste bags and disposal containers

The Boise Airport (BOI) became a medium hub airport in 2021, which required the addition of the airside pet relief station per FAA regulations. Both the pre-security and post-security service animal areas are maintained 24/7 for passenger convenience.
