Post-Security (Airside)
Terminal A
Located on the east terminal wing immediately before Gate A1, adjacent to the restroom. This is an indoor service animal relief area accessible after passing through the TSA checkpoint. Waste disposal bags are provided.
Terminal B
Located on the east terminal wing immediately before Gate B11, next to the restroom. This indoor facility is available after clearing security and includes waste bags for pet cleanup.
Pre-Security (Landside)
Terminal A
The pet relief station is located in the grassy area outside the east end of the building on the ground level. Exit the terminal, turn left, and follow the posted signage. This outdoor area is situated near the curbside passenger pick-up/drop-off zone.
Terminal B
Located in the grass patio area on the south end of the terminal, first level (baggage claim area). This outdoor relief area is accessible from the curbside passenger pick-up/drop-off area by turning right from the building entrance.
Amenities & Policies
- Waste Disposal: All relief areas are equipped with waste bags to aid in pet waste disposal
- Leash Requirements: Dogs must remain on a leash and under the control of their owner at all times while in the airport
- Service Animals: Sacramento International Airport welcomes service animals and offers familiarization tours for recognized service animal organizations by advance arrangement
- Signage: Look for clearly marked pet relief area signs at all locations
