Terminal B - Indoor Pet Relief Room
Albany International Airport features a specially designed indoor pet relief area located on the lower section of Terminal B, accessible by elevator. This climate-controlled facility serves passengers traveling with: * Service animals * Emotional support animals * Law enforcement dogs * Airport therapy dogs
This is one of the few airports in the country offering a dedicated indoor service animal relief station within the secure area, making it convenient for connecting flights and pre-departure needs.

An outdoor pet relief area is available near the Baggage Claim level for arriving passengers or those who haven't yet passed through security screening.
Pet Policy & Important Information
- Terminal Restrictions: Animals must be in proper pet carriers unless they are service animals assisting disabled individuals
- TSA Screening: Pets being carried on aircraft must be removed from carriers at the Security Checkpoint for X-ray screening. Passengers may request private screening for their pet's safety
- Access: Both relief areas are open to service animals, emotional support animals, and pets traveling with passengers

Albany International Airport is the first U.S. airport to achieve ACI World Level 3 Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation. The airport also features therapy dogs available daily from 9am-3pm to help passengers destress throughout the terminal.
