North Terminal Entrance

The outdoor pet relief area is located outside the north entrance of the Terminal. When facing the front of the terminal building, look to the right-hand side toward the Historic Terminal. This is the only designated service animal area at Santa Barbara Municipal Airport.

Important Rules & Restrictions

• No Indoor Relief Areas: There is no pet relief area inside the terminal or past the TSA security checkpoint.
• Leash Requirements: All animals must remain leashed or contained in proper transport housing at all times while on Airport property.
• Prohibited Areas: Do not allow pets to use any other areas on Airport grounds for relief purposes.
• Access Restrictions: Animals are only allowed at SBA if they are certified service animals or registered through an airline for air travel. Contact your airline directly for specific requirements.

If you're traveling with a service animal or pet, plan to use the outdoor relief station before proceeding through security, as no facilities are available in the gate area. The terminal is open 24/7, providing access to the outdoor pet relief area at any time.
