Post-Security (Airside)

Terminal 1

Gate C10 Pet Relief Station

Located post-security near Gate C10. From Gate C10, follow the hallway toward Gate C12. The service animal relief area (SARA) is on the right wall just past Gate C10. This is an indoor facility measuring approximately 10' x 8', equipped with: * Artificial turf relief pad * Sink with water hose * Paper towels * Waste disposal

Terminal 1 Main Hall (near K1)

Located post-security in the main hall, next to the Lotto booth. From Gate K1, follow the hallway toward L Concourse. The dog bathroom is on the left wall, approximately 75 steps down the hall beyond the security checkpoint.


Terminal 2 / Terminal 3 Rotunda

Rotunda Service Animal Area

Located post-security in the Rotunda (the connector between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3). From the Rotunda, take the hallway toward Terminal 2. The pet relief station is immediately on the left. This indoor facility includes a sink, relief pad, and waste bags.

Note: The Terminal 3 Main Hall SARA is currently closed due to construction.


Terminal 3

Gate L26 Dog Bathroom

Located at the end of the hall across from the windows near Gate L26. This is an indoor service animal relief area with standard amenities (relief pad, sink, paper towels).


Terminal 5

Gates M8 & M28 Pet Relief Stations

Two indoor locations are available post-security: * Near Gate M8: From Gate M8, follow the hallway toward Gate M7. The SARA is on the left, immediately past M8. * Near Gate M28: Similar indoor facility with relief pad, sink, and waste disposal.

Sterile Corridor (International Departures)

Located prior to the Customs and Border Protection area in the sterile corridor. This indoor facility serves passengers in the international departures zone.


Pre-Security (Landside)

Terminal 1

Door 1A - Baggage Claim Level

Located outside on the Arrivals/lower level near Door 1A (close to United Baggage Claim #15). Exit through Door 1A and turn left. The outdoor service animal relief area is within a black fence, approximately 40 steps from the exit door. This is a gated, fenced area measuring approximately 16' x 10'.


Terminal 2

Door 2E - Baggage Claim Level

Located outside on the Arrivals/lower level near Door 2E (close to Baggage Claim #1). Exit through Door 2E and turn right. The outdoor pet bathroom is within a black fence, approximately 50 steps from the exit door. The gate is on the far side of the fence.


Terminal 5

Door 5B - Baggage Claim Level (Two Locations)

Primary outdoor area: Exit through Door 5B (near Baggage Claim 10). The SARA is within a black fence, approximately 50 steps from the exit door.

Multi-Modal Facility access: From Door 5B, turn right. The outdoor service animal area for the Multi-Modal Facility (Rental Cars/Lot F) is within a black fence, approximately 50 steps from the exit.

International Baggage Claim Area

An indoor service animal relief area is located in the International Baggage Claim area of Terminal 5 (pre-security).


Multi-Modal Facility (Rental Cars/Lot F)

Outdoor Relief Area

Accessible from outside the facility near Door 4. The outdoor SARA is fenced and located approximately 50 steps from the exit door. Open 24/7 for travelers using rental car services or Lot F parking.


Amenities & Rules

What's Provided:

  • Indoor facilities: Artificial turf relief pads, sinks with water hoses, paper towels, and waste disposal
  • Outdoor facilities: Gated black fences (16' x 10'), natural ground surface
  • Accessibility: All service animal relief areas are ADA-compliant and accessible 24/7

Important Guidelines:

  • All animals must be accompanied and leashed by the owner at all times when not in the designated relief area
  • Airline coordination required: Service animal arrangements must be made directly with your airline prior to travel
  • TSA accommodations: For security screening assistance with service animals, contact TSA Cares at 855-787-2227
