Near Gate A7

The Sunport features a full-service indoor pet relief area located near Gate A7. This facility includes: * Synthetic grass surface for comfort * Fire hydrant feature to create a familiar environment * Scenic views of the Albuquerque Bosque

While all traveling animals are welcome to use this service animal relief station, preference is given to service animals.

Pre-Security (Landside)

Baggage Claim Level

Two outdoor pet relief areas are available: * East end of the baggage claim building (outside) * West end of the baggage claim building (outside)

These outdoor dog bathroom areas provide convenient access for passengers arriving or departing who haven't yet cleared security.

Pet Policy & Rules

• Leash Requirements: All dogs and traveling animals must be confined to a carrier or leash at all times. Leashes may not exceed 8 feet.
• Service Animals: Service animals have priority access to all relief areas. Under New Mexico State Law and ADA regulations, it is unlawful to interfere with service animals or their handlers.
• Emotional Support/Therapy Animals: Must remain in carriers or on leashes throughout the airport.
• Pet Owner Responsibility: Owners must control their animals at all times for public safety.
