The Albuquerque International Sunport features a full-service indoor pet relief area located at Gate A7. This climate-controlled facility offers:

  • Synthetic grass surface with a decorative fire hydrant
  • Scenic views of the Albuquerque Bosque
  • Comfortable environment designed for both service animals and traveling pets

This indoor dog bathroom provides a convenient option for passengers who need to relieve their pets after passing through security without having to exit the terminal.

Pre-Security (Landside)

Baggage Claim Level – East and West Outdoor Areas

Two outdoor pet relief stations are located outside the baggage claim level:

  • East end of the building (outside)
  • West end of the building (outside)

These outdoor service animal areas are accessible before going through security or upon arrival, making them ideal for passengers just arriving at the airport or those who haven't yet cleared the TSA checkpoint.

Amenities & Important Information

  • Priority Access: While all traveling animals are welcome to use any relief area, preference is given to service animals
  • Leash Requirements: All pets and service animals must remain on leashes (not exceeding 8 feet) or confined to carriers at all times when outside the designated relief areas
  • Access: The indoor facility at Gate A7 is only accessible after passing through security
