Gerald R. Ford International Airport's post-security pet relief area is located at the beginning of Concourse A, near Gate A4. This indoor facility opened in January 2024 as part of the airport's $500 million Elevate expansion program.

Pre-Security (Landside)
West End of Terminal – Drop-Off Lane
The pre-security dog bathroom is located outside at the west end of the terminal building, at the beginning of the drop-off lane. This outdoor area is accessible to all travelers with pets, not just those flying.

Important Rules & Information
- Leash Requirement: All pets must remain on leashes when not inside the designated relief areas
- Carrier Requirement: Animals must stay in travel carriers at all times elsewhere in the terminal (except certified service animals)
- Service Animals: Guide dogs and assistance animals are welcome in all public areas and must be screened at TSA security checkpoints
- Non-Flying Pets: Animals that are not traveling are NOT allowed inside the terminal building
