Post-Security (Airside)

Salt Lake City International Airport provides two pet relief areas within the secure area for traveling passengers with service animals or pets.

Concourse A

• Location 1: Near Gate A9 – This indoor service animal relief station is accessible after clearing security.
• Location 2: Near Gate A34 – A second dog bathroom is located further down Concourse A.

Concourse B

• Location: Near Gate B20 – An additional pet relief area is available mid-concourse for passengers departing from or connecting through Concourse B gates.

All airside animal relief stations are designated specifically for relieving service animals and pets traveling through the airport.

Pre-Security (Landside)

Terminal Ground Level

• Location: Outside on the west side of the terminal, ground level
• Type: Outdoor relief area
• Best For: Use before entering security screening or for visitors/greeters with animals

Pro Tip: It's recommended to take service animals to the outdoor relief area before proceeding through the TSA security checkpoint.

Airport Pet Policies

• Crate Requirement: Pets must remain in a crate, kennel, or approved container while in the terminal.
• Exceptions: Service animals (trained or in training), therapy dogs with licensed organizations, and working law enforcement animals are exempt from the crate requirement.
• Leash Requirement: Service animals must be under handler control at all times.
