Post-Security (Airside)

Concourse A

Salt Lake City International Airport provides two pet relief areas within Concourse A:

  • Near Gate A9 – Indoor service animal relief station accessible after passing through security
  • Near Gate A34 – Indoor pet bathroom facility located in the eastern section of Concourse A

Both locations are designated specifically for relieving service animals and pets traveling through the airport.

Concourse B

  • Near Gate B20 – Indoor animal relief station conveniently located within the secure area of Concourse B

All post-security pet relief stations are clearly marked and accessible to passengers with connecting flights or those who have already cleared TSA screening.

Pre-Security (Landside)

Terminal Exterior

  • West side of the terminal – One outdoor animal relief area is located outside the main terminal building on the west side, accessible before entering security

This location serves passengers arriving at or departing from the airport who need to relieve their pets before checking in or after baggage claim.

Airport Policies & Guidelines

Pet Container Requirements: Passengers traveling with animals must keep them in a crate, kennel, or other approved container while in the terminal, with the following exceptions: * Service animals trained to assist people with disabilities * Therapy dogs accompanied by a licensed organization * Working law enforcement animals
