Post-Security (Airside)
Salt Lake City International Airport provides two indoor pet relief areas within the secure area for traveling passengers with service animals or pets.
Concourse A
- Near Gate A9: Indoor animal relief station available for service animals and pets
- Near Gate A34: Indoor animal relief station available for service animals and pets
Concourse B
- Near Gate B20: Indoor dog bathroom and service animal area
All post-security pet relief stations are clearly marked and accessible after passing through TSA security checkpoints. Use the Airport Terminal Map to pinpoint exact locations.
Pre-Security (Landside)
Terminal - Outdoor Relief Area
One outdoor animal relief station is located on the west side of the terminal building at ground level. This area is accessible before security and is ideal for pets being dropped off or picked up.
Airport Pet Policies
Required Containment: Passengers traveling through Salt Lake City International Airport with animals must keep pets in a crate, kennel, or other approved container at all times when not in designated relief areas.
Exceptions: * Service animals trained (or in training) to assist people with disabilities * Therapy dogs accompanied by a licensed organization * Working law enforcement animals
These animals are permitted to remain outside carriers while traveling through the airport.
