Description of Incident: Dog escaped from its kennel while in transit by chewing a hole through the side of kennel. Animal and owner were transported to local Veterinarian in MSP. In addition to injury to toenail, the dogâ€™s gums were visibly swollen and bleeding.
Cause of the Incident: Dog injured itself while demonstrating a determined effort to escape its kennel.
Corrective Action Taken: No corrective action taken. Kennel was of acceptable construction and condition at time of acceptance. Kennel door was secure.
