Description of the Animal, Including Name 2.5 year old Greyhound named Gullen

Narrative Description of Incident In the off-loading of the flight, a crew chief noticed that 1 of 4 kennels containing dogs was deceased. The kennel was segregated for customs inspection and the owner was notified of the incident by one of our baggage service representatives. The owner of the deceased pet was also the owner of the other 3 dogs. Veterinary officials stationed at the airport in customs were unable to provide an official opinion on the cause of death. From observations, rigor mortis was present and officials released the deceased released the pet to the owner. The owner continued with his travel plans to Buenos Aries Argentina.

Narrative Description of Cause of the Incident The exact cause of death is undetermined, a necropsy was not provided and veterinary officials at Santiago Chile did not offer an official opinion on the cause of death. The owner was allowed to leave with the deceased animal.
