Description of Incident: At JFK, Prior to loading onto aircraft, the kennel was discovered on it's side and the cat was missing. The cat was found alive on the ramp with an injured leg and scrapes on its paws.
Cause of Incident: Defective kennel. Cat was able to push his way out of the side vent to escape from the kennel.
