January 2015 Airline Pet Travel Report

Pet incidents for the month of November, 2014.

Delta reports the death of a two year-old cat named Hart who was killed by a Malinois (Belgian Shepherd) who was able to escape its kennel and attack and kill Hart who was still in her crate. In the report provided by Delta, it was mentioned that the Malinois was injured, but no official incident report was filed.

United reported the injury of a seven year-old Labrador Retriever named Jake. Jake was found with a skinned nose during a transfer at Houston, TX. A on-site kennel facility cleaned the wounded area and Jake continued to his final destination after a scheduled overnight stay.
