April 2024 Airline Pet Travel Report

This month we had two incidents:

On Delta Airlines Flight DL75 from Amsterdam (AMS) to Atlanta (ATL) one of two cats traveling in separate kennels was found unresponsive during offloading of the Cargo Bulk bin. The cause of death is unknown and all procedures were properly followed.

On Alaska Airlines Flight 1367 from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico( PVR) to San Francisco (SFO0, an agent notice a dog had defecated inside its kennel prior to loading so the agent removed the dog from the kennel to clean it out and the dog bit the agent and escaped its kennel onto ramp. The dog was safely recovered with an injury to its foot.
